Venting about sellers

Recommended Posts

I know there's a good sellers list but maybe there should be a bad seller list.. In the last few weeks I have made accepted deals on a few optics only to get the complete run around on meet up days and times to no communication and another to completely backing out of the accepted deal the day before meeting up . I thought about blasting the sellers but decided against it and just needed to vent now that its happened a few times . I know things happen but maybe don't be so quick to post things up for sale if your undecided about getting rid of it . Stepping off the soap box now !!

Yes, I know this is the classifieds section .

I've had trouble with 1 buyer & 1 seller. Both were this year. Wasn't worth making a big deal over. Until then never an issue.

I've had nothing but good here, even though there may be in a exception in the works right now for me on a buyer but hopefully it doesn't turn out that way. People are flaky, wishy washy animals. Try buying or selling on the Facebook groups. A lot of People have no honor or integrity. Not hard to stand by your word.

I think CWT has a stand up group and most all bend over backwards to help each other, loan equipment, help with hunts and do the best on buying/selling.

I've had it happen to me one time with a rifle. Told the seller I'd make the trip to pick it up. He told me he was headed part way to hunt and could meet somewhere in the middle. Plans changed a few times the next couple days then informed me that he decided to keep it for his kid. If you're not 100 percent sure of selling, don't post it. It wastes everyone's time and possibly messes up other potential deals.

That's just jacked up. I'd be pretty p.o. on that one too.

I'm gonna just say, you know you have it pretty good when a botched internet deal falling through is the biggest problem of your day. Lots of people deal with lots of worse things and don't make a peep. Just my .02

I did a "Wanted post" for a Remington 700 with a R5 barrel. Got no action until week 2 I got a person that sent me pictures and all the info on the exact gun I wanted. Gun should have been worth around $2200.00 with the optic it had on it and they offered it to me at $800.00 I knew something had to be up. I said I would take it and the person asked for a USPS money order. I then asked for a picture of their ID and for them to please ship through an FFL. They sent me a picture of their ID. It was a 66 Y/O girl from Georgia. She said she the gun was her ex husbands and she wouldn't ship though an FFL. I asked to speak to them on the phone and it was a guy that answered and he acted like a girl. Very weird situation. Long story short that was over a two day period. My cousin is a police offer and I asked him to run the Drivers license. It did not come back so he is assuming it is a Fake ID. This all happened yesterday. First time I have had an issue but then again I am newer to CWT. I have made probably 6 purchases and 3 sales.
