How I occupy my time when I am not hunting...

Recommended Posts

I don't have any $$$ anymore. I haven't really done much with my crawler since my first son was born almost 5 years ago. I finally broke down and sent it over to a buddies place to pay him to do some work on it since I have zero fee time with 2 kids under 5 years old.

I have devoted more time and energy into hunting over the last 5 years though. It is easier to grab a paid for fully functional gun and go to the field to hunt than it is to find time to fix a broken crawler & trailer and find the money to pay for the parts to fix what you break when you go out.

Im fairly sure I saw this truck on the 101 towards the I-17 on Halloween night. If that's the one- it drowned out my 6.0 Powerstroke.

Easily.

Mine is hunting and rockcrawling. Still not cheap. I do have a 500 CID Caddy V8 in my rockcrawler though so it is kind of a dirt hot rod. :)

That sounds awesome! Any pics?

You guys all have too much $$$ so to show how nice of guy I am I will take any extra $$$ you feel like blowing on fast, loud toys.

HAHA! My kids see to it that I don't spend too much on silly projects like this anymore

After driving it around for a bit I ended up putting a muffler on it. The turbo did an ok job at idle to quiet it down but above 3000 rpm it was hard to sit in the cab. It has a single 4" exhaust dumping out of the passenger fender and I found a boat header baffle that fit in it.

It's nice seeing folks who still enjoy it. "A mechanics vehicle is the most neglected one on the road, like the cobblers kids don't wear shoes" do it for a living and it gets old

I almost went to mechanics school, but this is the reason I didnt. A family friend was a mechanic and he had lots of projects. He rarely had a finished drive able project.
