mfernaz Report post Posted October 28, 2016 I never use SP in my AR because as it gets chambered it slides against the ramp and usually puts a nice gouge in the lead, I thought it would effect accuracy but have never tested this theory. My dad had some SP, I loaded then unloaded and noticed this. I always use what's cheapest to reload bulk for target practice or just have ammo on hand for that rainy day. Usually you can get remington 55 grain fmj pretty cheap. For game I use the Barnes tsx 70gr (1/8 twist) with varget. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
