300 wsm Report post Posted September 23, 2004 My wife and I went to Kaibab this year for a week, and it was awsom. We go every year, and this year was by far the best. Although neither of us killed. We just had a lot of fun. I passed up several bucks because of my good coues tag, and my wife missed a few times. I did see a lot of bucks, and tons of twins. The antlers were looking very good. More D Report post Posted September 23, 2004 Hey 300, My brother has the Nov rifle Kaibab tag. Just wondering if there is anything up around the town of Jacob lake. Like a resturant, store, motel? He and his brother-in-law drew this tag out of sheer luck. Meaning they could not hunt this year so they both applied for the impossable to get the bonus point and.......of course they got it. Now they are going to hunt to say the least, they only had to beg and borrow from work, wife, and every thing else to get to hunt. Any other help/info would be greatly apreciated to help get my brother and his brother-in-law, both great guys, there first deer ever. Arizonabowhunter Report post Posted September 23, 2004 Update on my brother's hunt. He saw a lot of small bucks and had an opportunity to shoot a 4x3 at 15 yards. When he shot apparently his arrow skimmed a branch and that was all she wrote, the arrow flew high and over the top of the buck. He was hunting out of a treestand. His friend had a Bison bull come up to him and and rake on the tree he was under for hours. He took some good pics hopefully I will be able to get some and post them on this website. Overall he said it was a great hunt!!!!!! My brother is yet to get a deer and I was hoping this would be his year. Oh well maybe next year. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

This was my second trip to Kaibab and have to admit that place is great. newbee Report post Posted October 4, 2004 My buddies brother was up there and had stalked up to and had eyes on three bucks when low and behold **deputy dumb shoot hunting from his truck came plowing through ,despite motions from him to keep driving he stoped to chat and spoil his hunt ..needless to say the deer split **DEPUTY DUMB shoot....Dep-u-t d-UM-B SHHit (adj) a person or persons who's actions are so impolsivly self centerd and stupid for the good of none (would rather no one to win if they can not[aka sore loser]) that they become the fore most authority of stupidity and stupid actions for that moment Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
