I guess they don't want there shooting targets

Recommended Posts

I was trying to find somewhere close for a long range shooting. Queens Valley is not Ideal but it is close. Came across this at 1pm on a Wednesday. No body around. I don't get it those golfers and rabbit targets are around 40 bones each. I left it there, but if anyone heads out there in a couple of days and still there I guess its yours. Its right in the middle of a very popular shooting spot, so if its yours and you forgot its still there.

Also a big thanks to the guy who huffed a 20" white plate up a mountain and left it there in a totally different spot. I have a range from 600 yards to 1800 yard. I can't wait for my 300 win mag to be set up for that.

how far can you shoot there?

You can shoot far if you want to. But its not easy getting targets out. You need to bush whack your way to set up stands and you have a really good chance that you are shooting over peoples head. Most areas are 100-300 yards. I found a couple other good spots but you would be shooting over quad trail.

Whoever hauled that plate up the hill hopefully did it at night. That place can be scary.

The spot I found where the stand was set up was in a isolated area. Its not a normal road in. He was probably the only person on that mountain. But yeah the other hills are being shot at like Normandy Beach

Where else in the East Valley is good? Need to take the wife out shooting some and queen valley is the only spot I know of

There is not much. But there is plenty of places where people shooting their pistols and ARs at the 50 to 200 range. Anything farther gets difficult. Be careful on Saturdays its a war zone.

Hopefully the guy with the 20" plate isn't the same a$$hole that hung multiple targets off pipe that had been beaten through saguaro cactus. I found quite a few like that out by Queen Valley.

What!!! Man some poeple!! Yeah lots of trash out there. Bunch of yahoos are going to close it down because of all this. So if anybody knows of a boy scout that needs to do an eagle project this would be a good one to help with a clean up.

Yeah, I was hoping it would get better since they set a roll off dumpster out there but people seem to be just as lazy as they are stipid. Plus, the last dumpster I saw was riddled with bullet holes.....morons.

Hit me up if you want to shoot sometime. Queen valley is just down th 60 from me.

I saw them right after they first put them up. I really wish someone would have caught them pounding those poles through the saguaros. Stupid people! I've never seen anyone out there shooting at them. The last time I was out there, it looked like most of them were gone.
