CouesPursuit Report post Posted October 12, 2016 I was recently given an older but great quality Sage fly rod in excellent condition in a 5 weight, 8' 6" length, DS model. Unfortunately, I now have three 5 weights and all are 8' 6" in length. In some research I found these rods are not Sage's top of the line, but are still very respectable and highly regarded rods. It is likely valued in the $175+ range. I'm looking to trade the Sage rod, in nearly perfect condition, for a comparable rod in a different weight and/or length. i.e. 6-7wt for river bass and streamer fishing, or a 4wt for smaller creeks/fish.
