GRONG Report post Posted September 10, 2007 My Dad set up his new trail camera in a draw for a big tom he's been hunting. He made some fake scratches so the lion would stop long enough to get his picture taken. Few days later he went back and saw the tom's tracks headed right up the draw towards where he'd put the camera. Well the lion had checked the scratches and made one of his own, I think Dad said, but the camera was laying on the ground under the tree he'd put it on. Seems as if Dad got his first experience with a bear and how they love the trail cameras........ Oh ya, no pics of the lion either cause the bear had already slapped it off the tree. Jeez! dogman68 Report post Posted September 13, 2007 Dang Josh that's a sweet pic and so clear. What cam is ole Dogman using. First camera I ever "owned". Andy (AK-47 or Littlestick) whatever he goes by, built it and then gave it to me. I guess he felt sorry for me always borrowing one from Grong. Anyway, I think I drove 100 miles the first time I put it out. I had it all set up, got nearly home and then couldn't remember if I had set the switch in the middle. So I drove all the way back to check. It was set right. Then I walked up the canyon and came back and walked in front of the camera. No red light. So I opened it up again and I had moved the switch somehow and also the batteryhad fallen, loose inside. So good thing I checked. It's just miserable getting old. They say the first thing to go is your mind. Anyway, I knew I had been had when I saw the bear track three days later. Never did get a lion picture. He never came back after that first time and it's been a month now. I liked your hair do so much I got one just like it. Easy to take care of. Beats that mullet I had with the long black curls. But it did go with the cool cowboy hat and belt that was 18" too long. The ladies at Basha's thought I was neat when I would walk in like that and wearing my spurs. Click click click. Just like out of the movie, The Quick and the Dead.
dave Report post Posted September 13, 2007 It is hard to keep up with progress. Always keep your switch in the middle. Know what a track looks like. Keep your hair short and don't trip over your belt. Nice pictures. Andy is becoming the trail cam guru.

He gets better pictures than Walt Disney used to. He is definitely the guru.
