AZbowhntr Report post Posted October 6, 2016 I always dread something like this happening. I sure hope it all works out in the end. I have a 2010 Silverado and haven't heard or experienced anything like that.
bgshooter Report post Posted October 6, 2016 Note to self. Don't buy a truck that has fancy ignition. Stick with old fashion key. Hope everything works out for you.

TOBY Report post Posted October 6, 2016 Had the same problem with a 99 cavalier, just not on the yolo. Sometimes was 20 minute wait sometimes was the next day. Mine had the little theft lite flashing. When it quit flashing the car would start. 3 trips to a dealer and a whole new dash console and it was fixed. Stupid stupid stupid. Non-Typical Solutions Report post Posted October 6, 2016 This is a bit unnerving. I had no idea. Stinkin' technology....I want my '78 Blazer back. My 78 Ford left me one time way north of Ash Fork......alternator had gone on it. I went out to set up camp with my 6 and 4 year old boys. Ended having to walk 5 miles in the dark to the 7's ranch and got a ride on into Ash Fork. It is a night neither boy has forgotten. I really love my new truck but long for the day when my truck was not so computer driven. Any time that screen tells me something is jacked up with the brakes and then I take it in to get looked at they can't ever find anything. Best of luck to you out there, these newer rigs are not built for rocky roads and mud slinging.......
Phil Beavers Report post Posted October 6, 2016 I may way off , but can you sign up for Onstar for a month and have them unlock and start your truck. Just reaching That might work if there was cell service out there. ON star is satellite try that route.
MT_Sourdough Report post Posted October 6, 2016 no onstar on my truck. I am betting it will fire up once I get up there again. It's been a little more difficult to obtain a ride back up there than I anticipated. Anybody with a side by side want to make some money? I have already put it out there that I'll gladly pay somebody $150 cash for a ride from Willamson Valley road/ Camp Wood road intersect up to my truck. I'd rather give that a try before I hire a retrievel outfit.

MT_Sourdough Report post Posted October 7, 2016 Where's it at on fs21 I don't have a SxS but had my truck through that road all the way to half way house last week I appreciate it, but it looks like I have a ride lined up. To answer your question, it is about 1/2 way between the Yolo Ranch and Half way house rd. The biggest reason why I mentioned a side by side is because there are some folk who wouldn't want to subject their truck to that stuff. It's right in the middle of the road looking north overlooking the draw that runs down to Layne Tank. I had to make a road around my truck before I left, so folk can get around it.
