azruger Report post Posted October 2, 2016 I hunted San Carlos all my young life for small game quail, squirrel, and ducks. There are some toads there. Seen them many times. Hilltop has some studs also. Great place to pond jump.

couesmagnet Report post Posted October 3, 2016 anyone that shoots a bull under 390 on the san carlos has made a grave mistake indeed. I would expect with a couple weeks of scouting to have several bulls located ove rthe 390 mark and at least 2 or 3 over 400. Simply the best place to hunt elk in the world and the easiest place to hunt . No pressure and the bulls can be retarded. I wish i could give er a whirl one day for sure. God blessed that place for elk, no doubt.
