cjl2010 Report post Posted October 2, 2016 Sounds like the dent can't be fixed and you have to sell it off for a 3/4 ton

TonyC Report post Posted October 3, 2016 ahh that's not too bad at all. Hard location but... I can at least pull that dent out most the way. My only warning is since it's been dented; pulling the dent may cause the paint to chip/crack. (haven't seen it happen yet but there is always a chance it could) Either that or.. the hard way.. which consists of pulling the dent out, applying bondo to fill in the dented areas that's left and re-paint the area. (I can't paint for crap but I have a guy who does great work)
PRDATR Report post Posted October 3, 2016 Since it goes across a factory seam/bend it cant be popped out.
TonyC Report post Posted October 3, 2016 Since it goes across a factory seam/bend it cant be popped out. Pretty much, it makes it a challenge. Depending on how far the dent is, a lot of times as you pull the dent back out the seam will takes it place back. Or... a unique way is to drill a small hole on the back side and physically push it out and reshape it. (lots of work)
TonyC Report post Posted October 3, 2016 I had the same thing happen on the family minivan.. I was able to pull most of the dent out but a small indentation remains.
