They must be the 212gr then.

The ELDs are still new (again based off the Amax for M's). I don't think I've seen anyone post about their ELDs yet for thier loads besides me. So not a lot of info yet. Also I believe this is the first year people will be hunting with them so Im excited to see what they will do on big game with the Xs and Ms. I went out this morning before the rain hit and was working on a creedmoor load for the ELD-x 143 and 140 HVLD Bergers. Both performed great, and both shot some strange groupings on a few loads. But I got them both down to 1/2 MOA.. So Im excited for you load work up. Have fun keep us posted!

How are the fed.gm 210m primers working in a magum load?

Ive been loading for about a year and half now. Im seriously studying up on this stuff all the time and bugging some of the other members via text message for some tips. But last time I posted that I used 210m instead of magums some of the guys on here were saying "don't do that" you need magnum primers. So I took heed to their council and starting shooting magnums. Well same loads that I shot before that were 1-1/4 and 1" groupings open up to 2"----2-1/2" groupings. So I text Lance and he said go back to what you started with. Ok!! Threw the 210M back in there and they tighten back up to 1" groupings. Work with the OAL after that and got it down to 4 shot 1/2" grouping. My guess its just my gun, but its working for me!

I go 300 rum, get at least a 20 power scope so you can see the critters, then get the trigger done, glass the barrel and get a good scope rail and rings, you'll have an eight hundred yard gun for around $1600.00. I also thru in a thump hole stock and Kenton torrents with a Zeiss hd5 25x . Its a great medium range gun, whitetail thumper. Only my take

Nope love my 270 whtby mag, or my 460 s&w 460 hunter for elk, I like to be closer. But archery is my preference for all

Phase 1 is complete for the short term. Phase 1 included the muzzle brake, and putting on a basic scope to start shooting the with. It has a take off redfield 3x9x40 revolution on it now. Now I need to dial in a round for it.

Phase 2 is on order. Phase 2 is a Vortex 6x24x50 HSLR scope and Talley lightweight rings. They MAY get here before my elk hunt, but if not I am going to rock phase 1 as it stands.

The tare is the first bunch of rounds I shot after site in. They are 208gr ELD-M bullets over H1000. I have berger 210 HVLD's loaded along with more ELD-M for next week's range session.

1 more day at the range today before I leave. I am very happy with how today went. My scope for phase 2 isn't here yet so I am rocking the 3x9x40 for elk. It is fine though. It was dead on from 100-300 yards today.

The 208gr ELDM are showing well, and the Tourbon cheek rest/ammo holder is pretty sweet. It gets me right in line with the scope.

I am as long as I can go and keep them short enough to fit the magazine. I will tweak them some more, and work on a load with the 210HVLD. I shot some of those HVLDs at 500 yards and they were flying well and hitting hard. I need to dial those in too. There was a pretty good crosswind today so 500 wasn't easy to make contact on the smaller plates.

I need the new scope to show up so I can start dialing for distance and wind instead of hold overs and Kentucky windage.
