HUNTnTAT2 Report post Posted September 28, 2016 I'm heading up to help out at the youth camp put on by MDF and AZGFD. Only time I have ever been in 19a is driving at night from unit 8 to 6b. So I'm blind as where to start for these kids. If you all could point me in some areas where I can get a kid into some deer or just good glassing points that would be awesome! And all are welcome to come and volunteer as well! These camps are a great opportunity to give back to our future! They are a ton of fun! Thanks you!

AZ Wildcat Report post Posted September 29, 2016 Do we need to register to attend the camp? I'll be taking my son on that hunt - his first big game hunt - and I want to bring him by the camp.

HUNTnTAT2 Report post Posted October 12, 2016 Thank you all for the help! I believe we had 7 bucks taken in camp. One of the kids I had, had a great opportunity at a huge buck. Some great country!

HUNTnTAT2 Report post Posted October 12, 2016 Well if you see one limping around it's probably this guy. Kid Hit him In his left lower leg. Tracked for miles upon miles.
AZ Wildcat Report post Posted October 12, 2016 We weren't able to spend much time at, or take full advantage of, the camp...but it was awesome. My boy did not fill his tag but we saw bucks every day for three days and did get a shot that didn't connect. Learned a LOT and will take full advantage of the camp the next time he draws this hunt. Huge thanks to the Prescott Mule Deer Foundation and all of the volunteers who helped put. We need to encourage youth hunting and make it fun for the kids to ensure the future of this great sport.
