PCHunter Report post Posted September 20, 2016 Thanks for all the comments. Found this buck on opening day of the Utah archery season and hunted him every chance I got since. Got a shot at him with my bow a couple of weeks ago but nerves kicked in and shot right over his back. He became almost nocturnal and wouldn't feed out until right at dark. Made numerous attempts to get into bow range on him after glassing him up in the evening but could never get from up high where I could glass him up to him before it got dark. There was never a sign of him in the morning. Finally resorted to carrying the rifle and shot him last Saturday evening from 513 yards. He is 29" wide. It is amazing that he hadn't rubbed yet. His velvet is in perfect shape.
