unit 28 elk hunt

I drew a limited opportunity elk tag in unit 28. Does anyone have any info on this hunt?

Call the game ranger in that unit. He should be able to tell you where his honey hole is located.

i know where quite a few elk are in unit 28...hunted deer there for quite a few years.....kinda seem like you are trying to E-scout though?

I drew this tag by mistake. I have never hunted this unit before, dont even know where to begin. I hear they are all bunched up on the reservation line!?

You heard wrong. They are scattered around quite a bit. The most I have seen were in the salt cedar thickets in the river bottom.

Just come up to Clifton, Morenci area, get a map from the forest service and hunt in cold creek, and black jack area. they are bugling in the morning and start back up around 6:00 pm. good luck.
