10Turkeys Report post Posted September 17, 2016 Pulled into the GF's house just about dark one evening and there was a Bobcat on one of her waterers. Looked to be a medium sized cat, haven't seen it since but the bunny and quail population has thinned alittle bit. Not really a predator guy, what would be the best way to say adios to this cat? She lives in Cave Creek desert type area, has neighbors but not right on top of her.

Kingzero Report post Posted September 21, 2016 .22 or .25 cal pneumatic pellet gun. Yep. You can use a firearm but the 1/4 mile rule applies. If there is an "occupied structure" closer than 1/4 mile then a pellet gun or bow are your options.

If there is an "occupied structure" closer than 1/4 mile then a pellet gun or bow are your options. Technically, 1/4 mile rule applies to hunting this bobcat too, yes? You'll have the permission of the homeowner (gf) but not nessisarily the neighbours, so no weapon is an option. Just trying to look at this thru the eyes of a warden. G&F would probably trap and remove it for you.
AzDiamondHeat Report post Posted September 26, 2016 G&F will not trap it, they will refer you to a company like Critter Getter to remove it.
