Kawasaki 700 Prairie Quad

Recommended Posts

I'm looking at a Kawasaki 700 Prairie to buy and need some advice.

It's a 2004 with brand new tires and has about 1,100 miles on it (don't know the hours). The owner says it has been serviced regularly and "was his wife's so it has hardly been used"! I haven't had a chance to actually look at it since it's a couple of hours drive away from here.

Any suggestions on what it might be worth and whether it would be a good first quad? I've ridden several different quads over the years, but none that big and never a Kawasaki. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Dave, that is a lot of quad for a first timer. The miles are pretty high for an 04, but if it has service records it may be a great buy. I'd search NADA and Craigs list for value. Good luck Buddy, stay safe.

You must not ride quads very much. ;) I put that many miles in a year. :P

Actually those are low miles for an ATV that could be at least 3 years old.

It is a powerful machine but if you buy it then you won't have to upgrade. :)

They're asking $4000 which is about right at high book. Low book is around $2800 so I'd probably offer $3200 - 3400. Guess I just need to go ride it and see if I can handle it! Thanks for the advice!
