donniedent Report post Posted September 5, 2007 Yeah, I'd love to top him in Jan. I'm planning on taking 5 days sometime in the beginning of Jan and doing a hunt somewhere. I've got a few places in mind. Oh I think I forgot to mention that I got that guy in 20a. I won't say exactly where but it wasn't around Lynx Lake or on Big Bug mesa. He's the biggest buck I've personally seen in there in a few years. Of course I've never had much luck finding big muleys either. I passed on 4 smaller bucks last weekend the largest of which was a pretty big forkie. (I have nothing against shooting spikes and forkies, I just choose not to do it myself). I shot mine on Sunday morning and ended up taking my brother-in-law to a good area I know of on Monday afternoon. We saw a good little 4 point who should be a really good buck next year if he makes it. My buddy's coming over tonight to put the tape on my buck. More for sh!ts and giggles than anything.
