Harris Bipods

Recommended Posts

I have a Remington ADL 25-06 that I'm using for my Wyoming antelope hunt. What's your take on the Harris Bipod? Should I purchase one? If yes, what size since they come in 5 different sizes?

6-9" bench (probably not this one)

9-13"

12-25"

13-1/2 to 23"

13-1/2 to 27"

What would you do in my case? :)

I use whatever I can find, like lay on rock with back pack for support, tree branch or trunk if available, I use a atlas bipod and it is great but a little short for tall grass my frame pack does fairly well to get a little height. I have got into a habit if i sit to glass trying to determine what i will shoot off of when i sit so i,m prepared. also have used bogpod sticks and other thing friends had. It seems every situation has a different solution.

I,m not sold that a large bipod is the way to go for me but maybe the way for you.

I like the quick detach of some so i,m not trying to remove it for a givin situation

I've got a couple of different sizes. For WY antelope I would go with 13-1/2 to 27". My wife used it last year in WY and it was perfect with all the grass up there.

Thanks for all the help. Has anyone ever used or know someone with a Caldwell XLA Pivot Model Bipod? Just wondering! :)

Tj look on YouTube for bipod reviews. I personally would drop the coin on a atlas QD. The adjustability is second to none and comes in very handy in our "Coues Country". They are double the price but worth every penny. Just my 2 cents.

I bought a Harris 25HBCS after several years of thinking bipods weren't practical enough to encompass all shooting situations. The 25HBCS has been awesome, TJ!

I've owned the rifle for 3 weeks and have killed 6 coyotes with it in both prone and sitting positions. It hasn't left me without a shot. I will be taking it off the .223 and putting it on my 7mm for my WY antelope hunt with confidence.

Caldwell's are junk IMO. Got all my Harris Bi Pods through Scheel's.com. Lower price and free shipping.

I tried a Caldwell's and returned it. The quality difference was substantial between Harris and Caldwell. When you headed to WY? If the dates work and don't coincide with my son's hunts, you can take them and try them, or just borrow for a weekend to try. I have a 9-13 HBLMS and a 13-27 HB25CS.

Thanks for the generous offer rossislider. The cwt member's are the best. I have always wanted one so I will purchase one. My rifle hunt starts Sept 10th but I'm actually thinking about going a couple weeks earlier to archery hunt and scout.

cwt members.............Thanks again for all your advise. Much appreciated. :)

I'm confused like always but I want to get this right before I buy. What is the difference between the Harris HB25CS and the S-25C Bipod Sling Swivel Stud Mount 131/2-27?
