5guyshunting Report post Posted August 11, 2016 Interesting...on the other hand, when are men gonna become men again and act like role models and someone they would be proud for their son to turn out like? A huge problem in this country is lack of leadership and lack of men who act like grown men. Really?? Talking about beavers like we are still 16 yr old boys and gossiping like a bunch of women? I am not one to get offended, but definitely one to hold men to a higher standard than what has become the modernly acceptable metrosexual excuse for a man. We need to be role models, leaders in our communities, not afraid to speak up and stand for what is right no matter the cost. Elections arent going to change anything. Men as leaders in our small communities is what can start to turn this country around. I totaly agree, but your gonna need to home school your kids and keep them away from the f ed-up modern day society. Jokes are made , but it's really not funny. Man or transgender we are f*#^ed. lancetkenyon Report post Posted August 11, 2016 So I work at government facilities, and as a contractor, a paying customer who effects my future employment is always right. They may pay extra to be right however. The nice ones get certain perks. The PITA ones do not. They pay for every deviation from contract. You are dang right he moved his truck. Whether I agree or not. I would like to keep my relationship with this organization in good standing. I don't feel a bumper sticker is worth losing future work. And yes, some of my customers are that demanding. But they pay their large bills on time, every time. I am a gentleman to everyone I meet until they prove I need to behave otherwise. I try my very hardest not to curse around women, hold doors, say yes please and no thank you, yes sir and ma'am. I personally would not have the bumper sticker on my truck. But I still think people are WAY too sensitive nowadays. And I am only 45, but I was raised by a great father who instilled manners in me. But he also instilled the ideas that the world is tough, so I need to be tougher.
Guest oneshot Report post Posted August 11, 2016 Gave a quote for a job in Green valley a few days ago, lady seemed happy with price, etc. Then she noticed my neck tatt and FJ's window lettering, she hasn't called back to confirm... Not the first, and surely won't be the last... I would rather lose work then fold to political correctness and my personal creed... Current boss straight-up has told certain folks, "Nope I don't want to work for you"... or given them a 5k quote for a 500$ job...

It's amazing how many times in management you have to protect your employees from themselves. The only thing they'll ever think is 'this is BS, I should be able to do whatever I want, blah, blah blah!' Most will never even consider the fact that something like that could blow up into a lost contract next time around, which hits payroll, which can mean layoffs. If I had a nickel for every time I every time I had to sit down a 'grown man' or several 'men' and explain simple cause & effect consequences of their actions, I'd probably already be retired. Makes me thank God I'm not in management any more! But for the record, that Fat Linda does need a good ole Texas throat flick. You kinda have to expect guys to be guys when they're on a work crew surrounded by other guys.... I hope her poor delicate soul never steps foot into a machine shop.
