COUESAZ Report post Posted August 27, 2007 Has anyone used Sportsmans W/H in mesa to have a new string put on a Bow. If they are a good dept i am going to take my bow in there for a new string and upgrade on a few things.
DesertBull Report post Posted August 27, 2007 I tried to get a new string there. The guy didn't know how to put it on and they had the exact same bow for sale on their rack behind the counter. The exact quote from the guy was, "This thing has 3 cables? Never seen that before." It actually has 2 cables and a string. It was a Hoyt/Reflex Bow with the Slam and 1/2 cam system. Not exactly a unpopular bow.
COUESAZ Report post Posted August 27, 2007 That is what i was wanting to know. I shoot an older Martin and the wait at bear mountain is longer than i wanted to wait but i may just take it to bear mtn and wait for it. Then i know it is done right.
ultramag Report post Posted August 27, 2007 thats bad when they say things like that. I would highly recommend going with a winners choice string and cable setup.
DesertBull Report post Posted August 27, 2007 Unless the store has your string/cable in stock, you'll have to wait 7-10 for a new one, no matter where you take it. I just had new Winners Choice put on my bow and it took 10 days.

Not exactly a unpopular bow. I used to work in the arhcery department at sportsmans warehouse and there are some people that do not know as much as they should. If you do go ask for Cody or Nate and they will set you up properly.
