I just spent the weekend with Mr. Unlucky.

My dear friend, TJHUNT2.

As a lot of you know, he had shoulder surgery a few months back.

Well since he can not work and has a upcoming Elk tag, he thought he would get the he!! out of the valley and spend so time scouting and do a little archery Deer and Turkey hunting with a (Borrowed)

cross bow.

Tom was able to get a cross bow permit because of the surgery and thought this would be a great way to gain confidence in it.

Well the (Borrowed) bow did not come with a cocking aid.

Tom ordered one from someone who said they had 4 in stock, Yea right.

So anyway he can't cock the bow, I tell him about I Guy I know who has a cross bow in his store that maybe he can (Borrow) the cocking aid.

Well they get together and make it work on his bow.

Tom reluctantly (Borrows) it after they were able to cock it and shoot a bolt.

Tom calls me at work, He is pumped, He gets to hunt.

Well, he gets back to camp and figures he should shoot it a little more before heading out to the field.

First time he tries to cock the bow with the (Borrowed) cocking aid it blows up and puts a he!! of a jolt into his bad shoulder.

Well Buddy, thats your luck.

He takes it apart and finds 3 teeth missing on one of the gears.

Time to replace it What can you do?

So, Lets put the bow away and lick our wounds.

Guess what?

when it went off it put 2 marks in the limbs and dented the scoop of the (Borrowed) cross bow.

But, the story aint over yet.

There is a group that camps next to us every year and Tom said he would park his Quad trailer over there so when they got up late Friday they would have their spot. Nice Guy You Are.

The guys show up so TJ goes to move the trailer out of the way.

Not a good weekend!

While moving the traier he somehow swings the drivers door of his 05? Duramax into a tree

Peggy is not going to be happy.

I came home at 9:00 this morning, thought I better leave.
