GreyGhost85 Report post Posted August 2, 2016 prongs are measured from the tip of the prong to the center of the back of the horn, not just how far they protrude. that buck is mid to high 80's for sure. lots of people underestimating him. look at some of the ones that go around 90 on pronghorn guide services page. they look VERY similar. i bet his horns are around 15" too. lots curl to them too. this buck was killed last year and scores way over 90"
trphyhntr Report post Posted August 2, 2016 they still look like 4-5" to me. He might be 87, personally I'd rather have a taller one even if it scored less if I had an Arizona rifle tag.

I would bet this Buck has atleast 8" prongs of not longer. Don't forget that the prong measurement goes all the way around the back of the horn to a line running up the center so big mass adds to pring length big time. I know it's hard to fathom that a tall Buck like the mounted one posted on here by kingjeff that scored 83 doesn't score as well and I like most guys would probably shoot the tall one, but this heavy Buck is definitely way bigger then that.

Don't forget to subtract at least 2 inches from guide services scores though...
GreyGhost85 Report post Posted August 2, 2016 if you subtract 4 inches, that buck still goes over 90 B&C. He's 94" and change net B&C, 97 and change SCI

He'd be over 90" for sure if we did..haha Out of curiosity would my goat be bigger by SCI guidelines GreyGhost85?

That buck i posted was killed with an auction tag last year smart@ss. Do your homework before you try to make a mockery out of somebody that knows what he is talking about. I've killed 5 antelope myself and probably been on 30 antelope kills, but what do i know?

I've killed 5 antelope myself and probably been on 30 antelope kills, but what do i know? Listen you know it all prick! i was joking about re scoring my goat, hence the joke about adding spread. The question about the SCI scoring was an actual question due to the fact that i didn't know if the had different criteria for SCI. I not once was questioning your "knowledge". But i will tell you one thing. you need to watch who you run your mouth to, and not be so quick to jump to your ignorant defense. And if you have some text book response about "keyboard tough guys" send me a message and we can settle this like men. If that's not something your willing to do then i suggest you shut your trap! I have been nothing but respectful since i joined this site all i expect is the same.
AZkiller Report post Posted August 2, 2016 Why does every thread I write in turn to this? Weather I do it or not? Sci does not deduct for a net score. It's basically gross score B.C.
JACK Report post Posted August 2, 2016 Anyway before this thread gets deleted...Thanks for the replies my guess is 84ish...Maybe we will find out who knows...
