Guest akaspecials Report post Posted July 20, 2016 Be willing to change elevation with weather. Great hunt! Lot of friends to get out with in the woods too! Like 1000 of them and thier families. Seriously a great hunt in a great unit though. Congrats.
257wby Report post Posted July 20, 2016 I've harvested 3 coues in unit 23, got another chance this year too. Good luck on your hunt.
coues7 Report post Posted July 20, 2016 Which hunt did you draw? Oct? Nov? Dec?
Az23Hunter Report post Posted July 20, 2016 Congrats to you and your wife! lots of great Coues hunting in 23, however have drawn the October hunt several times and it can be quite challenging if you don't know the area that well. the weather is the biggest issue with them not wanting to move around much mid day so get out early and glass. I have November Coues this year in there but let me know if you would like any pointers or places to check out I would be glad to help.
ctafoya Report post Posted July 21, 2016 Thanks. I haven't spent much time in 23. Lots of weekend scouting trips in my future!!
257wby Report post Posted July 23, 2016 I agree with Az23Hunter, that can be a warm hunt, but it has been good to me. I have the Nov tag, hope here isn't an early snow.
