Norteno Report post Posted July 16, 2016 I'm in the market for used 15x56 SLC NEU or HD if the price is right. Some people advertise that warranty card is not filled out and comes with purchase. Is the warranty not transferable? If not I guess they really go down in value? How good is Swaro about damage due to accident? I doubt they are as good as Vortex but when your paying 2k I don't want to be afraid to use them.
wish2hunt Report post Posted July 16, 2016 I would think they are better than vortex.
cjl2010 Report post Posted July 16, 2016 I've bought 10s, 15s, and a spotting scope used with no warranty card. Sent them all in for cleaning and repairs and never had a problem.
BowHuntAZ Report post Posted July 16, 2016 Had my SLC non HD for a few years, never filled out a warranty card and still never did even when I contacted Swarovski for warranty work last year. They completely tore them apart, replaced parts, cleaned up others and rebuilt them like new for FREE. Better than vortex imo because you don't need to use the warranty every other time you actually use them or accidentally abuse them. I don't think the card means squat. Swaro stands behind their product no matter what from my own experience. I know others who have had the same experience. Highly recommend them.
Norteno Report post Posted July 16, 2016 Thanks for the info guys. I'm ready to pull the trigger. I have deal worked out for some HD's from a good guy hopefully it all works out.
BowHuntAZ Report post Posted July 16, 2016 Definitely spring for the HDs if you can. I upgraded last year and they are incredible. Good luck this season!
Couzer Report post Posted July 16, 2016 The warranty stays with the Binos and not the purchaser. You can fill out the card and send it in so Swaro has a record of the owners. But you do not have to worry about filling the card out. I always leave the card blank and fill out the online warranty info. That way when I sell them I can say "warranty card has never been filled out". Their customer service is top notch! Vortex has a worry free warranty, but you will most likely need it. This is what I was told from Swaro
wildwoody Report post Posted July 16, 2016 How long does it take to get them back?
cjl2010 Report post Posted July 16, 2016 Mine took 2 weeks. I assume certain times of the year take longer

PRDATR Report post Posted July 17, 2016 I sent in a pair of EL's last year mid summer and it was about a month turnaround. They replaced a bunch of parts and put on new skins. The only cost to me was shipping to them. They send me an itemized list of what they replaced and did.

willhunt4coues Report post Posted July 18, 2016 Next day air to them and they will send back how you send to them (next day air). I got mine out and back in 1 week during early November in 2012 and they were busy. No charge except for me to air to them.
