Viper Report post Posted July 15, 2016 I just bought a QAD Ultra HDX rest to replace my Whisker Biscuit. Mounting and initial setup are done. My concern is that it appears the fletching may hit the top bar, maybe barely clear it. I shoot 2" Blazers on Gold Tip Hunter XT shafts. I am putting the rest on a Matthews Drenalin. Two flippers came with the rest package, one is on the rest and one is a "spare" that is a little wider between the prongs. Do you know of any issues with this setup? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

az41mag Report post Posted July 15, 2016 I shoot the same arrow and vane combination with a QAD HDX rest and have no issues with fletching contact. I position the vanes at 12:00, 4:00, and 8:00 positions. The difference in the two "flippers" are that one of them will have a slightly deeper notch. Which one you use will depend on your bow, (the relation between the arrow shelf and the mounting hole for the rest) Hope that makes sense and helps.
Viper Report post Posted July 16, 2016 Thanks for the replies. I got it paper tuned and real close at 20 yards last night. Now I need to tweek it in for longer distance at the range. It was pretty easy to tune. I already notice a difference...seems more forgiving than the Whisker Biscuit. I'm probably going to regret not doing this a long time ago. Is it necessary to have the knock point 1/8" - 1/4" above square? Mine is only 1/16" above square.
