ready2hunt Report post Posted July 15, 2016 seriously... that is just weird. The only thing I can imagine is someone was trying to clear a trail so they would not slip on loose rocks.

Guest akaspecials Report post Posted July 15, 2016 Jacks canyon is well know for rock climbing. Most likely it is a broom to clean loose rock so climbs are safer. The folks that developed and are developing Jacks canyon for rock climbing haven't spent much time outside. They rarely understand leave no trace and think the outdoors should be dumbed down to thier level.... (Yes, this includes sweeping up rocks that could hit someone at the base)

Elkaddict Report post Posted July 15, 2016 There is a rope to the left, this is about 1 1/2 miles from where the rock climbers hang out. Probably is to sweep loose gravel, thought it was strange to leave it. I half expected to glass a body at the base...
buddydog Report post Posted July 15, 2016 Hey, I know that place. People going through Indian ruins must have left a broom.
