AZ8 Report post Posted July 12, 2016 I use a small tripod type chair, basically looks just like a walkstool. Very easy to carry in the pack and great for the price. $7-8 at sportsmans. I got the same one I think. Mahco Outdoors. So far, has held up well. Folds up real tight and only weighs 24ozs. Think I paid $6.
dse Report post Posted July 13, 2016 cabelas has one for 10 bucks that is great....I have 2 of those for my boys. its back by the sleeping bags. I use one from REI that is only a few ounces and is great. I use to use a butt pad all the time but started killing my back..small chairs are great I use this one..Really light and has a shoulder strap Mine looks just like this but made by Browning. Heavier than the walk stool or pads but it has a back and is comfortable. I spend way more hrs glassing when I'm comfortable.

rcdinaz Report post Posted July 13, 2016 The walk stool no contest and I have tried everything I could get my hands on. You will think it is a rip off until you use it and wonder why you didn't buy one long ago. I also carry an outdoorsmans pad. Sitting on the ground or kneeling if you have to make a shot it is well made.

cactusjack Report post Posted July 13, 2016 I use an Avery Outdoors Hunting Power Seat. My lower back suffers much less because of the back support. I carry it attached to my pack. For me its worth the 2.5lbs it adds.
metau Report post Posted July 14, 2016 I used to use a Walkstool, but got rid of it due to back issues. I now use a folding chair with aluminum stays that rolls up nicely and has straps on the side that connect the back to the bottom and uses my own weight to provide decent back support. And since it does not have legs, I can sit on any uneven surface and it just balances out.
AZbowhntr Report post Posted July 14, 2016 I have the Jim White glassing seat and love it. I don't think it is made anymore but it unzips and has a back support that is adjustable and is light weight and attaches to my pack easily. It is attached to the outside of my pack in the picture on my avatar.
PRDATR Report post Posted July 17, 2016 I use a foam pad I bought at Dicks and works great but this morning I was glassing with BigBrown and he had a pretty nice folding chair.
firstcoueswas80 Report post Posted July 18, 2016 I was at Sportsman's today and saw a little pad made by Browning that was basically a 12 by 12 self-inflating air pad. It was really nice. If somebody didn't just steal $500 from my bank account I would have bought it but as of now that dispute has not been handled so I had to leave it. It was really light and rolled up super tight. willhunt4coues Report post Posted July 18, 2016 I love my chair. You can adjust it to lay back for calling or adjust it up so you can glass all day with no back cramps. I also have never got wet from the ground either. Worth every penny I have 2. https://www.predatorquest.com/product/pq-logo-easy-chair-seat-cushion/
Zeke-BE Report post Posted July 18, 2016 I have the tall tripods, I can stand longer than trying to find that perfect spot in the chair. I find my self slouching in chairs or sitting. Back starts hurting. If I'm by the truck I'll use chairs from time to time
