Have you seen the prices of top bows lately....$1000plus .... ouch.

I guess that I'll wait another year or two.

Yeah, they're more than a little crazy with it. PSE has some pretty nice models for cheaper than that and there's still Bear and Bowtech's Diamond line.

Cabelas & Basspro have some decent shooters too with their store name on it, most of which I think are also made be Bowtech/Diamond.

That's why I've bought all of mine used.

Bows, not underwear.

some of you guys switch out bows quicker than i switch out my underwear

I've been shooting the same compound since '09. I bought a new one about 3 years ago, and quickly got rid of it again. turned out I still liked my old one better.

Bows have some of the highest depreciation rates. Just keep your eye on eBay and the classifieds and what is Top-of-the-line today will drop in price quite a bit. At least you'll save some money and could get a full set up for what the price of a bare bow is today.

Big time.. Thats how I bought my Bow-Tech Assassin.. It was brand new but the model was already like 2 years old and The guys at Ross put it together for me for like 550.00 complete with those starter parts..If I would have bought the bow when it first came out I probably would have paid like 700 for just thh bare bow.

Carbon bows from Hoyt and PSE...over $1300

I'll keep my Hoyt Vectrix another year or two!

Smart man. They haven't came out with one yet that will make deer deader than you Vectrix does.

The prices are unfathomable. I bought a new pse on clearance last fall for like 500$. That was a big spend for po' folk like us. I hope it pays for itself in game meat real quickly.
