davecinaz Report post Posted August 21, 2007 G&F started accepting apps today for left over tags. Does anyone know when and how you can find out if you were drawn, without waiting until the tag shows up? Dave
Tines Report post Posted August 21, 2007 Last time I drew one of these I just called everyday and eventually my status of "not drawn" was changed to "drawn". Good luck. Where did you put in?

stanley Report post Posted August 21, 2007 I just called as well, and the status was 'drawn' for both myself and my son. The website still has the results from the original draw however. Not quite sure what to think at this point, but it might be looking good. Hey Jeff, if the results are 'real' then Erik has the same 36A youth tag and I'll have the early whitetail hunt in the same unit. How about you and the boy? Any luck? S. coues7 Report post Posted August 21, 2007 Who do you talk to when you call?
stanley Report post Posted August 21, 2007 Nobody, I just used the automated system. Dial 602-942-3000, then press 2. Then just follow the prompts. You'll need your sportsmans ID number (SS number in most cases...), as well as your DOB. Good luck! S.

stanley Report post Posted August 22, 2007 Same exact tags as us then Jeff! We'll talk..... Good luck in 36C Ruffcountry! That's been my first choice for four years, except this year my son has the 36A junior tag so I thought I'd apply over there.... S.
Joe Kauffman Report post Posted August 23, 2007 I've got one happy son now! He was skunded the first go around but was able to get a Nov 36A tag and a juniors muzzleloader 39 pig tag. The hard work for dad starts now! I've never hunted 36A but am hoping to find some decent areas that aren't too rough for my son even though he's dang near a mountain goat. He told me last night that he doesn't care how big or small it is he's just excited to get to go hunting with dad for the first of many deer hunts to come. Gotta love the spirit of kids. davecinaz Report post Posted August 27, 2007 Last time I drew one of these I just called everyday and eventually my status of "not drawn" was changed to "drawn". Good luck. Where did you put in? Tines - Thanks for the info. I called and did end up with a tag in 35A, my third choice in the leftover draw. Tried for one of the late tags, but no luck. i'll make at least one scouting trip - will give me a chance to visit my kids at the UofA. Never hunted the unit, but from G&F unit reports, it sounds like there are some deer there. If anyone has some suggestions on where to start, or comments on closed areas, illegals, etc., I'd appreciate it. Thanks. Dave
