Plantar fasciitis insoles

Recommended Posts

I have had plantar fasciitis flare up off and on over the last 5 years or so. It can be frustrating at times. I have got pretty good at managing it. Knowing when to back off on hiking. I have good boots Meindl, Lowa and Danner. For others that have planter fasciitis what are the best insoles? I tried several in the $20-30 range. Some have been decent and others junk. Its time to get some good ones under $100. Thanks

More than 100.00, but I have complete resolution to the problem. A foot dr. Will make a mould of your feet, then make orthotics specifically for you. I think I paid 400.00. Worth every penny. It sucks getting old.

Custom orthotics for me too. Make sure you wear them everyday day, regardless of the shoe and avoid flip flops or going barefoot. I really start to feel the pain if I don't wear my orthotics for a few days.

Another big thing for me is staying active. If I keep my legs stretched and loose then I never have a problem. If I have a lazy week where I don't do much, then I start to feel it.

I make sure to have shoes most of the time. I ride the stationary bike when I have to back off on hiking. I am making it a priority to drop 30 pounds. I have always been very active but that extra weight has got to go. Sucks, I love mexican food pizza and beer. Looks like I will be looking into custom orthotics. Any place recommend in Tucson area?

Super feet, Perfect insole, or Heal that Pain insoles which were recommended to me. I chose heal that pain insoles for my work boots. Im on my feet all day and after a month the pain is starting to go away, the person who recommended them to me said it took about 3 months for his to heal up. They are for a high arch which I have, and now my hunting boots and day hikers dont fit well so I now need a 1/2 size larger boot. Perfect insoles were also highly recommended to me. I going to try them in my hunting boots, I will never go without a good insole again. These insoles support your arch and take the weight off your heel. Before buying insoles its best to know whether you have a low, medium, high or extra high arch. Good luck!

I went to a couple Dr's when I had mine and didn't want surgery. Tried many insoles and no avail but found Sole. Sole insoles the Dean K version was designed for long distance runners (I am not one) but are very firm and supporting. With these insoles and a week of stretching and such I have been pain free for 2 yrs now. I have a pair in every pair of boots and shoes I own.

I will have to give them a try in hunting boots. Thanks!

Road Runner Sports at Tempe Market place will make you some custom fit insoles for $79 and they have a 90 day return policy. They work GREAT!

I have issues with this too. I have flat feet that cause my main issue. I use the arch supports from my redwing boot dealer. They are are the most expensive ones just below the custom mold style. I think they are about $35.

If I don't use them in my shoes and boots I won't be able to walk much the next day.

Spenco runner insoles and alcohol injections fixed me. I went through 2 years of complete misery and was sure I would never be able to walk normally again without surgery. My podiatrist opted for alcohol injections into the nerve as a last resort before surgery. Best thing that happened to me! That was nearly 9 years ago and I have zero issues with foot pain.

I still stretch regularly and never go without shoes, even around the house.
