I got a group of guys I'm meeting up with after an archery shoot that are bringing a multitude of 9'S and 40'S for her to try. So that will help her decide. I own 1 and have pretty dang big hands so use the 8 rnd mag which is extended and the fit is better than any subcompact pistol I have ever held. Good luck! I would say the shield is a winner Btw in the shield 40 every review I have read says they are super front snappy so buyer beware. I love the 9! jaymzth007 Report post Posted June 20, 2016 If looks aren't important, I would take a serious look at the Steyr M40-A1. Mine is one of my favorite pistols to shoot, and the recoil is the same or even less than my Glock 19 9mm. Super pleasant to shoot. Very under-rated gun.
