Call cats specifically?

Recommended Posts

I have incidentally called in 13 lion while bear hunting over a 20-year period, but only pulled the trigger twice and wrapped my tag around two of them. Other hunters shot at two more, but tagged neither. The other nine never presented a reliable shot and exited stage left before the deal could be closed. Most of these cats came in around 20-30 minutes, with the quickest arriving at about 10 minutes and the longest closer to 50 minutes. Good luck!

Oh, and bobcats, I am 1 for 3, have hardly called in any of them.

I'm sure most of these guys calling are using electronics these days

I prefer the ole circe cottontail call - it can be really hard to call for long periods - even 5 minutes take a break for 2 minutes repeat

I'm the same way -- calling for more than 30 minutes - I'm movin down the ridgeline or find another spot up higher for a better view.

1 down -- several sighted

one can never know whats in the area or how long it'll take

If you want mt. Lions specifically use the female lion in heat call. They mate year around and other critters won't respond to it. However plan on sitting a long time

they come in slow and cautious. I have heard the males responce chirp but never seen them
