Hey all,

I am going to be placing my first trail-cam ever this weekend and was wondering if anyone has any particular attractants that they have found to work better than others??

Is this considered e-scouting?

I am quite sure the AZGF would love that info as well.... being that they want to put a stop to that sort of thing.

Good game trails and hidden springs or water holes are my favorite spots. :D ;)

Not sure where your stand will be, but be careful if your on BLM land. I understand they have passed a law against baiting and will confiscate all cameras and stands in the area. The law was passed with the idea that increased salt deposits are killing the trees (HORSE HOCKIE). On USFS land your still good to go but depends on what animals you want to attract. The trophy rocks work good this time of year as they need the minerals for antler growth. Weird though, they almost stop using it immediately as the horns start to harden?????

Might be a good idea to RE-READ C/Sheeps post. ;)

No offense but IMO we as AZ hunters need to stop talking about the B word. Its not helping matters much. ;)

I don't plan on hunting over it, just trying to get some trailcam pics. I've seen a couple good bucks in the area and want to get them on my camera. It is down south a few miles from the border so I want to steer clear of the water holes cuz they get visited quite a bit from our soon to be new citizens

I've seen one REALLY good buck use a brushy north slope to bed in and want to place my camera in there, just thought that I would add a little something to entice him.
