Maverick351 Report post Posted May 28, 2016 So right now the Pioneer pass side has been closed due to bears in the campground areas. I am thinking some of those bears May have migrated from Pinal peak or even Madera peak. If they relocate the Bears how will that affect hunting? Is it typical to find more bears on one peak vs the others?

ForkHorn Report post Posted May 29, 2016 Hunt as normal. One less bear in Pioneer Pass shouldn't effect the population. Especially given how far bears can travel each day. You really never know where you'll find a bear once the season opens in August.

photofool Report post Posted May 30, 2016 It has been my experience that the bears don't care about one peak or another, they just care about there food source. Pares, acorns. berries etc. The bears will be where the food is.
azruger Report post Posted May 30, 2016 You will always find bears in the pinals, pioneer, madera or pinal peak. There are remote pockets that hold good populations.
coueshound Report post Posted June 8, 2016 Like all those sky islands there are bears all over the Pinals. Hunt the nasty stuff with a reliable food source weather its high or low on the mtn.
