GreatWhiteBuffalo Report post Posted May 25, 2016 A very frustrating process indeed, unless you are willing to travel. I have been trying to get the kids signed up for the field day for over a year. My daughter drew a cow tag this year and G&F sent out a post card with a class date to sign her up. Once the kids are drawn they do make it a priority to get the kids signed up. There are a couple of weekend camps up north this summer which I don't believe have been announced yet. Call the G&F ask for the HE department and leave a message. Good luck. IA Born Report post Posted May 25, 2016 I know there will be one in Flagstaff in September, but that's a long way from Tucson and it might be after the 90-day period in which you're supposed to get your field day completed after taking the online portion. The other drawback for you being in Tucson is that the final test will be Friday evening and the field day will be on Sunday. We're putting on a class in early August up here, too. Not sure yet if it will be a 3-day camp out, a classroom class, or a hybrid of both.

bigorange Report post Posted May 26, 2016 I gave up on finding a local class or field day in Tucson and took my son to the Youth Outdoors Unlimited hunter ed camp. He had a blast and I think learned a lot more than he would have in a shorter class or online. They put on a great program and can't wait to take my daughter to their camp too. http://www.youthoutdoorsunlimited.com/upcoming_events/index.html
