DesertBull Report post Posted May 20, 2016 For appx $350 you can order a new Savage pre-fit barrel chambered to the cartridge / barrel length and contour of your choice. A .260 or 6.5 Creedmore with a varmint tapered barrel would be a good combo for this if you don't like the .308. You could sell the .308 barrel for about $150 (it has less than 500 rounds on it, which is nothing for a ,308) and the Redding .308 dies for another $30 or so and get some money back for your new barrel. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
