Not sure. It's a little heavy due to the bull barrel but I have no problem carrying it all over coues and pig units

If someone is interested I can meet you at the usery range to shoot it or I have a spot off the beeline that we can shoot it out to about 700 yards

For appx $350 you can order a new Savage pre-fit barrel chambered to the cartridge / barrel length and contour of your choice.

A .260 or 6.5 Creedmore with a varmint tapered barrel would be a good combo for this if you don't like the .308.

You could sell the .308 barrel for about $150 (it has less than 500 rounds on it, which is nothing for a ,308) and the Redding .308 dies for another $30 or so and get some money back for your new barrel.

Will attach to tripod too. Currently set up for a manfrotto head but you can change the plate to match your head.

It shoots the 180 grain SST bullet almost as well as the Amax.
