archermatt Report post Posted May 13, 2016 If you could only pick one, what scope would you pic and why? Do you think you will gain better low light with the 85mm Vortex or is the clarity of the Swarovski that much better at higher power?
GreyGhost85 Report post Posted May 13, 2016 I run a zeiss hd 65mm because it is a lot nicer to pack than a big 80. razor HD's are nice, but novody would steer you away from a swarovski. Used razor spotters can be very easily found, how often do used Swaro spotters come up? That should tell you a lot
archermatt Report post Posted May 13, 2016 I had my mind made up to get the Swaro but just won the Vortex in a raffle. Debating on keeping the Vortex or selling it and buying the Swaro.
DesertBull Report post Posted May 13, 2016 I had a Vortex Viper HD spotter but it was more useful as a tent stake hammer than it was as a spotting scope. Same deal with their binos. Its only money. Buy once Cry once
GreyGhost85 Report post Posted May 13, 2016 I was a vortex fan. All my binos, scopes, spotters were vortex. They have all been sold and replaced with Zeiss and Leica. They have that warranty for a reason.
