Any members had a coues tag in 8? How was the hunt?

Shouldn't be too hard to find deer if you know where to go. The biggest issue is probably snow. If it hits real hard can make accessing certain areas difficult. Nowhere near the number of deer as say the southern units but they are in there.

It can be a very tough hunt. They are there but it's nothing like the southern AZ whitetail hunting. Very limited road access (at least for those that follow the rules) which is very frustrating and thick country. They are there if you know how to hunt them thou. Like said by last poster....The weather can be a huge factor in either hunt too (October or December).

Thanks. I have found them in some areas while shed hunting. I assume everybody who puts in for the unit knows what they are getting into. Is there alot of competition in areas on the early hunt or is it easy to get in pockets and not have other hunters running around?

Sleeper for giants! You don't have to hunt the giant canyons to find em either, sometimes you can find em in the pines near said canyons.

I'm not worried about locating bucks. Know the area very well, was more interested in info on how much pressure they get during the hunt. Thanks for the input.

It really depends on who is hunting and where you're hunting. Sometimes some of the areas get hit pretty hard. It's a big area and you can always hike away from other people thou.
