Splatt Report post Posted May 7, 2016 I'm not finding much talk about anyone using one. Do they not work well, or not clear enough, or ?? Is it worth the price to turn bino's into a spotter ?
Coach Report post Posted May 8, 2016 I've had one and know lots of people who have had them as well. Nobody was happy with them. Used to be lots of them for sale on here and other forums for a fraction of their original price. Definitely one to avoid.
Redman Report post Posted May 8, 2016 I don't have mine anymore..... it works but is definitely a pain in the rear.... get a spotting scope and never look back
Campnichols Report post Posted May 9, 2016 As CactusJack states "Friends don't let friends buy doublers!"
Campnichols Report post Posted May 9, 2016 But I have a Jim White doubler for sell if you really want one
cactusjack Report post Posted May 9, 2016 Lol. Lance, who talked you into that Jim White doubler? I bet he has changed his views though.
Coach Report post Posted May 9, 2016 As amazing as pretty much all of Jim White's products are/were his doublers were even less effective than the other failures on the market. I still use Jim White tripod adapters on my own and all three sons' binoculars - they are simply perfect. His doubler had the same fate as all the other doublers out there - let's face it, if Swarovski can't put out a good doubler it's probably a doomed concept technologically.
rcdinaz Report post Posted May 9, 2016 I got rid of mine years ago, like staring through a knot hole.
corkin it Report post Posted May 9, 2016 Its a great idea but I never really used mine. If there was a quick way to attach it might be worth it. To cumbersome and time consuming.
cactusjack Report post Posted May 10, 2016 a doubler in the spot and stalk world is about as useful as a dremel tool is in a machine shop. I mean, you could, but why?
WampusCat Report post Posted May 12, 2016 Those doublers should say "Simmons" on the side.
willhunt4coues Report post Posted May 12, 2016 I have a JIm White tripler for sale if anyone wants to buy it.
yotebuster Report post Posted May 12, 2016 Quick question. Why don't they make one that locks into the twist out portion of the ocular? Seems no differenr then an eyepiece locking onto a spotting scope? I understand they don't really work I just don't understand why?
