Little Creek Calls Report post Posted May 7, 2016 I had the opportunity to harvest my first Eastern turkey this past Tuesday in Eastern Kansas. What made the trip even better was my dad was able to get his first Eastern the next day on Wednesday evening. Mine was my largest bird I have taken, 1 5/8" spurs 10 1/2" beard 23 pounds. My Dad's bird was just a little smaller with 1 1/4" spurs 9 3/4" beard and 21 pounds.
