tjhunt2 Report post Posted May 6, 2016 I find it strange that Game & Fish was running the roadblock. Seems it should have been Gila County Sheriffs Office. Must be the whole OHV sticker thing i guess. Too bad, its a great event, and I'm glad to see that they got it done in spite of it all. I believe you are right 4Falls. I find it ironic that the Payson Roundup's article never mentioned the Gila County Sheriff's Office or the Tonto National Forest Office. It was indeed the sheriff's department doing the stopping with the other two departments assisting. Is it fair the Payson Roundup target the game and fish and spare the Sheriff's Department along with the Tonto National Forest Service? Just saying! Anytime there is a Charity run, walk, ride or event here in the valley there is a present of law enforcement to assist so why would this be any different. Swevilhead.........I agree, all three agencies had the opportunity to make a positive influence on the event instead of flexing their muscle. My humble opinion.
