Broadheads

Recommended Posts

Since I didn't pull a rifle tag, I'm looking into some new broadheads. I have never shot mechanical and currently using stingers. Is there a place where you can buy just single broadheads to do some testing? I have heard good things about rage but don't want to fork out 35$ just to try.

Looking for a head that will fly as close to my field points with maximum penetration as possible. The new slash arrows are awesome but the price is insane!

All broad heads will fly with your field tips if....

Your bow is properly tuned(including perfect form)

You don't push them too fast.

As for just getting a single to test I know some forums members trade around with each other. I have a ton of random head I could give up a single by most are fixed heads. I've been using 100 cut on contact grave diggers for the last few years with great results and short blood trails

Look no further. 100 grain GraveDigger COC. I have to do ZERO tuning to get them to shoot and hit just like my field tips. Have killed my last 2 deer with them love em Muley in 2014 at 76 yards and my coues buck in 2015 at 60 yards.

Depending on location I have a few I've practiced with that I'd give you to try. All 100-gr...swhacker, rage, terminal t-lock, shuttle t, maybe a slick trick or whac em in there too.

If you hit them where your suppose to it wont matter what broadhead you use.To many people overthink this.

plus 1

nap thunderheads sure have killed a lot of animals, and their cheap, and tough, and....everything else you need them to be.

i'm hooked on expandables right now, but...just find something that flies good and looks tough and is sharp, and you'll be in business.
