CouesPursuit Report post Posted April 28, 2016 I have seen them in downtown Datil and just west of Magdelena right when you are getting on the plains. In 8-10 visits, I can't recall a single time we didn't see multiple herds of pronghorn on the way to Socorro/Bosque, day or night. Good luck.

Arizona Griz Report post Posted April 28, 2016 Sweet thanks!!!!! Got a good place to start... hopefully it isn't all locked up ranches You shouldn't have much trouble with private property. I always stop in and talk to them. I have found them pretty receptive to out of state antelope hunters.

Cleancut27 Report post Posted May 3, 2016 Good afternoon all, I was fortunate enough to be drawn for a NM unit 6A bull muzzleloader tag. The hunt is from October 8-12. I've never hunted elk with a muzzleloader and I've never hunted in NM but I'm extremely excited about the hunt. Anyone ever hunted in NM unit 6A or have knowledge about the unit? Any advice on hunting elk with a muzzleloader? I am hoping they will still be bugling at that time. Any help is greatly appreciated! Take care!
