who bowhunts the back country?

here's a dilemma,

i got this late archery elk tag....

i don't know if i should get way back in there and hunt, or if i should just try to find something that i can shoot near the road, so it's easy to get out.

i'd hate to hike in for 3 days and come home empty handed, i'm one of those i gotta fill my tag kind of guys. while i really like the hunt, i go into mild depression after a big bowl of tag soup.

Since I didn't get drawn you should take me. Ill pack a camp in. Get an elk we'll pack it out on a mule.

*Did I mention I know where the bulls hang in 22S?*

Hard to beat an offer like that. If that's open for everyone, I may start putting 22s on my app. Always wanted to pack in on horses & mules... and my feet are getting tired as I get older.

I'd be interested in that info too: I drew a late 22N tag for the 2nd year in a row and I kinda like the sw edge of the unit.
