gmcbob Report post Posted April 24, 2016 I was out fishing today. Caught this trout, and believe it is a wild Tiger Trout. Thoughts?? Brooks and Browns are in the same water. Is this rare or common?
Wrk2Hnt Report post Posted April 24, 2016 Look like it could be. I know I read something a while back about them putting them in some AZ waters and they were going be small ones.

Couzer Report post Posted April 24, 2016 Yea but is it possible for the Browns and Brooks breeding in the wild to create this tiger? I thought they were all bred in captivity then released?

gmcbob Report post Posted April 24, 2016 AZGFD told me they will be releasing the hatchery raised tiger trout in May. All the stockers will be 8-10"+. I can also tell you that I caught this trout in a body of water that (to my knowledge) has not been stocked in a long time. I plan to call AZGFD tomorrow to get their input.
