Str8Shot Report post Posted April 25, 2016 Good Boots and Ankle wraps/braces make a world of difference in that unit or any rough country hiking area .... break them in good and put some mole skin in your pack just in case.
GJMauro12 Report post Posted April 25, 2016 Good luck with cell phone coverage. Alpine is the closest reliable service. There is one spot on the highway near Josh Ranch where you can usually get a little service. Most of 27 is a black hole Well that's not what I wanted to hear. Looks like my brother may be staying home to take care of business and I'll hunt solo.
Rombo Report post Posted April 25, 2016 Lookout Tower at Reno Lookout on the 25 road has good service if you climb the stairs.
Pine Donkey Report post Posted April 25, 2016 Leave your phone at home and rely on smoke signals, it will be more effective. If cell service is important, hunt the 403 with all the other 'connected' hunters.

bonecrusher Report post Posted April 28, 2016 If you go to gobbler point off road 25, go all the way to the end and there is good cell service. That was the only spot I found in 5 days of turkey hunting.
