MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted April 15, 2016 What's the deal with no stoves in the Kodiak? Can't find anyone running a stove and they don't have an option for a jack on the website either?

oz31p Report post Posted April 15, 2016 Big Buddy Works Betterall my buddy's are regular sized. I guess I'll stick with my frame tent and stove.
AmericanThunder Report post Posted April 15, 2016 If you look at the manual for the Kodiaks they do not recommend stoves in their tents because the canvas they use is not flame resistant. You can always cut one in, but at your own risk.

Heat Report post Posted April 15, 2016 Floorless tents for wood burning stoves is a much safer plan.
Viper Report post Posted April 16, 2016 I have a Kodiak and havent needed a stove yet...propane heater is plenty. I also have the Alaknak 12x12 with wood stove. It is great for cold weather. It has a zip-out floor panel so the stove sits on bare ground. There is nothing like laying in the sleeping bag, listening to the crackle of burning wood and watching the glow of the fire.
MULEPACKHUNTER Report post Posted April 16, 2016 Ya the floorless is a good point also but I have seen them in floored tents.
