anthonyrmatthews Report post Posted April 8, 2016 I drew this year with 20 points. Wasn't expecting a tag as I figured I was in it for the long haul and would wait until I was at max points. I am hoping I can post pics of my scouting here to see if any of you will help with scoring bucks? I've done a lot of research over the years and just don't have experience in this area. Thank you very much!!!

Heat Report post Posted April 8, 2016 I'd be happy to throw some guesses your way! Congratulations on your tag! Pronghorn hunts in Arizona have been some of my absolute funnest hunts. Good Luck!
SirRoyal Report post Posted April 8, 2016 Be glad to help ! Remember u need to be less than 100 yards with a spotting scope , right side , left side, front angles . If not it's just a guess. Although a monster is a monster and a monster will take your breath away!!
Flatlander Report post Posted April 8, 2016 Checkout Eastman's 4x7 scoring guide. It's pretty simple and will help a lot. My best advice is take someone with you who knows goats. Sir Royal kept me from making any mistakes on my hunt 2 yrs ago.

anthonyrmatthews Report post Posted April 8, 2016 Thank you all. My 1st choice was 10, 2nd choice is 7. I live in unit 7 and plan on lots of scouting. I plan on having my Dad and 4 year old son (Hunter) along with me. Knowing this can make it a little bit more of a challenge I am looking for a good buck but mostly a great experience.

DUG Report post Posted April 8, 2016 Congrats on your tag! If you get unit 7 I can offer some places to look. I may also have a 7 archery bull tag so will be up scouting a lot this summer.
anthonyrmatthews Report post Posted April 8, 2016 Thank you. I hope this doesn't sound like I'm e-scouting and looking for areas to hunt. I am certainly not doing that. I just look forward to sharing pics of bucks with you all and see what you all think of certain bucks. Thank you!
GJMauro12 Report post Posted April 9, 2016 I drew the rifle antelope last year. I did my own scouting but I did post pictures on here through out the year to help judge what I should be going after. I wouldn't call it escorting, I would call it sharing and discussing. Lol I feel like I can judge an antelope better than last year but still not that great but if you post some pictures once you get started you'll get lots of replies on what people think.
