IA Born Report post Posted March 30, 2016 Once again, the NWTF-AZ State Chapter has acquired one of the Commissioner's turkey tags to raffle off. Each NWTF chapter within the state has a deck of playing cards that are the raffle tickets. I'm coordinating selling our Northern Arizona Chapter cards with another committee member. I'll have to take stock of how many we have left, but its most of the deck. Cards are $20 each. If you are interested in buying one (or more), you can PM me and we'll get it worked out. If you want to write a check, but prepared for it to sit in an envelope for a while until we get all the cards sold and the drawing is held August 1, 2016 at the Sierra Vista Chapter's banquet. Otherwise, you can send cash or a check made out to me and I'll cash it and put the money in the envelope along with your card half. At the same time, I'll send you back your other half (halves) of the card(s) along with a flier for some authenticity. Below are the bullet points from the info document we're all sent. 2nd prize is a Savage Axis XP in .243 with a 3x9 scope. I'll also be at the youth turkey camp near Happy Jack this year if you are there and want to buy directly from me there. Rios were included last year and have been included since those units were opened. I figured Jim hooked you up! As for how many cards are left, I'll have to get an accurate count and get back to you. Most our chapter's deck remains, though. What about unit 10 tho As long as 10 is an open unit per commission orders, its a valid unit for the commissioner's tag. I may have to get a few more cards then. the turkey tag the arizona big game super raffle raffles is Gould's or Merriam's only and I want the so called Arizona Rio. The Comm Order is very clear, but the caveat language is not clear and is not consistent with the Comm Order. As a wildlife management professional I've seen lawsuits lost over unclear language just like this one and you can bet I'll hold them to task on clarifying this one.
