hoghntr Report post Posted March 25, 2016 I went to a decomissioning ceremony few years back of Uss Tarawa LHA-1 1 of the ships i was stationed on. At this event was a family, a large Vietnamese family that was rescued at sea by USS TARAWA when they had escaped Vietnam. This family was an Example to my children who attended the ceremony with me that Americas do have have a kind and compassionate side and that we would like all to experience the FREEDOM that so many of us take for granted.
